🎯Objective
The objective of this project was to create a comprehensive website that served as an online hub for Digital Meaux Solutions content marketing business. The website aimed to showcase her services, content, and affiliate marketing, while maintaining accessibility and incorporating her brand colors. The goal was to design an intuitive and visually appealing website that effectively organized the blog content, highlighted her various offerings, and provided a seamless user experience for visitors.

The problems I aimed to solve were creating a website that effectively showcased Monique's services, content, and affiliate marketing hub. Through competitor analysis, I researched design elements commonly used in the industry to ensure the website would be visually appealing and competitive. Testing was conducted to maintain compliance with color contrast ratio guidelines and to ensure easy navigation through the blog content.

📊Competitor Analysis
To get a better understanding of what users expect, I took a peek at some competitors' websites. It was important for me to see how they organized their content and make sure my design aligned with industry standards. By checking out the competition, I gained insights into effective content organization strategies and was able to incorporate those learnings into my design. This helped me create a user-friendly experience that met users' expectations while staying relevant within the industry.
🎨Colors and Typography
I used her existing colors and fonts as a starting point for this project. However, her brand colors were mostly monochromatic, I decided to add a pop of flair by introducing a bold pink accent color which added a little more visual interest
When it came to typography, she expressed a desire to pair a script font with her existing brand fonts. I looked at Google and Adobe Fonts to find a suitable web-safe script font that would perfectly complement her brand. After some searching, I found the perfect match that brought a touch of elegance and personality to the overall aesthetic.
By leveraging her brand colors and incorporating a complementary script font, I was able to create a cohesive and visually appealing design that stayed true to her brand identity.

📱Wireframing & Prototyping
To figure out the best layout for all pages, especially the blog, I took advantage of wireframing and prototyping. This allowed me to visualize different options and determine the most effective way to showcase all the diverse content types. By experimenting with different layouts, I ensured that the blog was organized in a way that made it easy for users to navigate and explore various types of content. This approach helped me find the optimal solution to highlight the client's services while maintaining accessibility and incorporating brand colors seamlessly.
💻Design Presentation
I found it beneficial to present video walkthroughs at each phase of the design process. These videos served as a way for me to explain the reasoning behind the design choices I made. It allowed me to share information asynchronously while still ensuring that the client understood the "why" behind the design. By providing these video explanations, the client could actively participate in the decision-making process and feel more confident in the design direction we took. Overall, this approach fostered transparency, collaboration, and effective communication throughout the project.

As a firm believer in empowering businesses, I concluded the project by delivering an educational video that provided guidance on managing and updating the newly created website independently. I firmly believe that businesses should have the knowledge and skills to utilize the essential tools that drive their digital marketing endeavors. By equipping the client with this valuable resource, they were able to take control of their online presence and make necessary updates whenever needed. This approach not only fostered self-sufficiency but also ensured that the client was well-equipped to adapt and grow their online presence effectively.

The key findings from competitor analysis revealed that businesses in Monique's industry utilized artistic design with stacking elements, and strong organization of blog content like showcasing recent and featured posts, categories, and call to actions. These findings influenced the design decisions to incorporate similar artistic elements, provide a well-organized blog, and ensure the website's ease of use.

🤔Challenges & Lessons Learned
The main challenge faced was maintaining color contrast ratio compliance while still incorporating the desired branding elements. The compromise of having the logo element appear on a white background and using the accent color on a colored background helped achieve compliance while still maintaining visual appeal. A lesson learned was the importance of considering accessibility guidelines early in the design process to avoid potential challenges later on.
